Policies for Payment, Cancellations, and Refunds (Information Complying with the Japanese Specified Commercial Transactions Act)

Pricing

For details on pricing information, please check each respective introduction page.

Purchase Period (UTC+9/JST Timezone)

  • Pre-Registration: From September 21st (Sat.), 2024, 21:00 to November 17th (Sun.), 2024, 23:59. For more information, please see the “Registration” page.
  • On-Site Registration: Please see the “Registration” page.
  • Changing Room Registration: From October 26th (Sat.), 2024 to November 17th (Sun.), 2024, 23:59. However, when capacity for the changing rooms is reached, registration will close. For more information, please see the “Changing Room” page.
  • Dealer’s Room Registration: From September 21st (Sat.), 2024, 21:00 to October 20th (Sun.), 2024, 23:59. For more information, please see the “Dealer’s Room” page.
  • Dead Dog Party Registration: From September 21st (Sat.), 2024, 21:00 to November 17th (Sun.), 2024, 23:59. However, when capacity for the Dead Dog Party is reached, registration will close. For more information, please see the “Dead Dog Party” page.
  • Official Goods: Please see the “Official Goods” (TBA) page.

Payment Method

Pre-Registration, Changing Room Registration, Dealer’s Room Registration, and Dead Dog Party Registration

When paying for registration, only credit cards will be accepted. Wire transfers will not be able to be used as a payment method.

After entering all necessary information and submitting the payment form, a confirmation email will be sent to you once payment has been received and processed.

Note: If 1 day has passed after payment and no confirmation email has been received, please contact us so we may assist you.

On-Site Registration, Official Goods Booth

Cash, Credit Cards, Electronic Money (which includes Prepaid IC Cards like PASMO and Suica) are able to be used.

Credit Card Payments

Credit cards that are able to be used are VISA, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, and Discover cards. You will also be able to use debit cards and prepaid cards from the above brands.

Examples of prepaid cards that are able to be used will be introduced below.

  • V-Preca (Application: Possible for those 18 years of age or older)
  • WebMoneyCard (Application: Those under 20 may apply if they have parental permission)

Note: Please see the “Credit Card Transactions” section of the “Privacy Policy” page for details on how a user’s credit card information is handled.

Electronic Money Payments

The electronic money payments that are able to be used are QUICPay, iD, and Apple Pay. Prepaid IC cards that are able to be used are Suica, PASMO, Kitaca, TOICA, manaca, ICOCA, SUGOCA, nimoca, and Hayakaken.

Note: PayPay and PiTaPa cannot be used.

Editing Registration

Modifying the Registration Information on Pre-Registration

For the “MEMBER”, “SPONSOR”, or “SUPERSPONSOR” Tiers

Until November 25th (Mon.), 2024: To request any modifications to an existing registration (including upgrading or downgrading participation tiers), please send us a message through the “Pre-registration Information Change Form”. Please note that on November 26th (Tue.), 2024 and after, you will be unable to modify your reservation.

Through the above form you will be able to pay the difference in participation tier prices, or be able to be refunded the difference. The payment will take place through Stripe, Inc.’s payment processing services, via credit card.

Note: You may change your participation tiers only if there are remaining slots.

For the “VERSE JUMPER” Tier

If you were selected in the lottery

You will be registered as the VERSE JUMPER participation tier. Please note that you cannot make any modifications to your participation tier.

If you were not selected in the lottery

You will be registered as the participation tier you chose when you filled out the pre-registration form. The modification policies of the “For the “MEMBER”, “SPONSOR”, or “SUPERSPONSOR” Tiers” section above will apply.

Modification of Booth Type for Dealer’s Room Registration

Table Booth

You will be able to modify your registration until October 20th (Sun.), 2024. Please contact us through the “Pre-registration Information Change Form” (and in the modification section please put that you wish to modify your Dealer’s Room registration). Please note that on October 21st (Mon.), 2024 and after, you will be unable to modify your reservation.

Through the above form you will be able to pay the difference in booth type prices, or be able to be refunded the difference. The payment will take place through Stripe, Inc.’s payment processing services, via credit card.

Square Booth

If you were selected in the lottery

You will be registered as having a Square Booth for the Dealer’s Room. Please note that you will not be able to modify your Dealer’s Room registration.

If you were not selected in the lottery

You will be able to either change your registration to a Table Booth, or cancel in the registration period.

  • If you choose to change your registration to a Table Booth, the modification policies of the “Table Booth” section above will apply.
  • When the registration is changed to Table Booth, the difference in price between your chosen booth type and the Square Booth will be refunded.

The refund will take place through Stripe, Inc.’s payment processing services, via credit card.

Delivery of Registration Items Including Con-Badge (for Those Who Live in Japan)

Delivery Provider: JAPAN POST HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. (Clickpost or Yu-Pack)

Your registration items, including your con-badge, will be sent to your registered address on December 8th (Sun.), 2024. When they arrive, please keep them in a safe place and do not forget to bring them to the venue on the days of the convention.

  • Note|Delivery is expected to be completed by December 14th (Sat.), 2024. Please note that the actual delivery date may vary depending on the destination area.
  • If any registration items are missing (such as lacking some participation perks), please contact us by December 20th (Fri.), 2024. We will be able to pass you the correct items on the days of the convention.
  • If you haven’t received your con-badge by December 14th (Sat.), 2024, please make sure to contact us by December 20th (Fri.), 2024.

Note: If you do not contact us by the above date, we cannot re-issue your con-badge with your name printed on it.

Exchanges

If there are problems with the items you receive, such as a printing error or damage to your con-badge, please contact us by December 20th (Fri.), 2024. We can replace it when you bring it to the JMoF registration desk on the days of the convention.

Cancellations

Participation Fee

For the “MEMBER”, “SPONSOR” and “SUPERSPONSOR” Tiers

If you cancel your registration, we will refund you a percentage based on the date that you canceled, minus any transaction fees. Please contact us through the “Pre-registration Information Change Form”.

  • Cancellations made by November 25th (Mon.), 2024: 100% Refund
  • Cancellations made from November 26th (Tue.), 2024 through December 3rd (Tue.), 2024: 60% Refund
  • Cancellations made on or after December 4th (Wed.), 2024: No Refund

The refund will take place through Stripe, Inc.’s payment processing services, via credit card.

Note: Even in the event that your participation privilege is revoked or refused due to reasons outlined in our terms of participation, refunds will be handled according to the terms of participation. For details, please see the “Terms of Participation” page.

For the “VERSE JUMPER” Tier

If you were selected in the lottery

You will be registered as the VERSE JUMPER participation tier. You will be unable to cancel your registration. Please also note that we will not be able to accept any requests for refunding your participation fee.

If you were not selected in the lottery

You will be registered as the participation tier you chose when you filled out the pre-registration form. The cancellation policies of the “For the “MEMBER”, “SPONSOR”, or “SUPERSPONSOR” Tiers” section above will apply.

For On-Site Registration

Participation fees are excluded from the refund.

Cancellations for the Dealer’s Room

Table Booth

If you cancel your registration for the Dealer’s Room, we will refund you a percentage based on the date that you canceled, minus any transaction fees. Please contact us through the “Pre-registration Information Change Form”, and say that you wish to cancel your registration for the Dealer’s Room.

  • Cancellations made by October 20th (Mon.), 2024: 100% Refund
  • Cancellations made on or after October 21st (Tue.), 2024: No Refund

Note: In the case of many applications for the Dealer’s Room, a lottery will be held. If you are not selected and are unable to participate in the Dealer’s Room, 100% of your payment will be refunded.

The refund will take place through Stripe, Inc.’s payment processing services, via credit card.

Square Booth

If you were selected in the lottery

You will be registered as having a Square Booth for the Dealer’s Room. You will be unable to cancel your registration. Please also note that we will not be able to accept any requests for refunding your Dealer’s Room exhibition fee.

If you were not selected in the lottery

You will be able to either change your registration to a Table Booth, or cancel in the registration period.

  • If you choose to change your registration to a Table Booth, the cancellation policies of the “Table Booth” section above will apply.
  • If you choose to cancel your registration, 100% of your payment will be refunded.

The refund will take place through Stripe, Inc.’s payment processing services, via credit card.

Cancellation for the Changing Rooms and Dead Dog Party

If you cancel your registration for the above, we will refund you a percentage based on the date that you canceled, minus any transaction fees. Please contact us through the “Pre-registration Information Change Form” and state what you would like to cancel.

  • Cancellations made by November 25th (Mon.), 2024: 100% Refund
  • Cancellations made from November 26th (Tue.), 2024 through December 3rd (Tue.), 2024: 60% Refund
  • Cancellations made on or after December 4th (Wed.), 2024: No Refund

Other Information

Donations

If you would like to donate to the JMoF Executive Committee, you can make a donation via the “Donation Form”, regardless of whether or not you will be attending JMoF. Your donation will support our activities.

Note: We do not accept direct donations at the venue.

Note: Regardless of whether or not JMoF will be held, donations are excluded from the refund.

Loaning/Transferring

Participation registration (including all things that come with it like con-badge), Changing Room registration, Dealer’s Room registration, and Dead Dog Party registration only apply to the person who carried out the registration process. Please note that the rights to participate in/use the above cannot be lended or transferred.

In Case of JMoF Cancellation

If a natural disaster, epidemic, or other force of nature cause an unavoidable problem to the operation, JMoF may be canceled before or during the days of the convention.

In the event of JMoF cancellation, we will refund the remainder of the participation fee, Changing Room usage fee, Dealer’s Room fee, and Dead Dog Party participation fee after deducting related costs. Please note that it may take time to process the above refunds.
